An international supplier of wind turbine blades found themselves facing a manufacturing problem. When their Spanish business unit announced a production shortfall and thus inability to fulfill existing customer orders of over 600 blades, they scrambled to realign the manufacturing plans at their other facilities around the world to replenish the shortfall.
PLG was retained to design, procure, and implement the transportation of the blades and managed the solution on a turnkey basis to project completion within eight months of initially securing the project.
